Site Progress Photographs

Extent of Work
The Bodhi Park Project comprise the construction of three blocks of building.

  • Block A will be a two and a half storey building which will house an administration office and an auditorium.

  • Block B will be a three storey building with facilities for meditation, seminar, reading, and food catering.

  • Block C will be a single storey octagonal shrine hall.

Estimated Cost of Project

It is estimated that the cost of construction of the Project will be seven millions Ringgit Malaysia.

Because of insufficient fund to undertake the whole Project in one stage, the Building Committee has decided to proceed with the construction for the first of the two stages. Fund raising activities, however, will continue concurrently for the subsequent stage of the Project.

Current Scope of Work

The work for the first stage of the Project was awarded to Jurucon Sdn Bhd for a contract sum of approximately 1.12 millions Ringgit Malaysia. The Contractor had taken possession of the Site on 7th July 2009 and the work is expected to complete by 6th March 2010.

The work comprises the construction of Block C (the Shrine Hall) and the ancillary infra-structural work. The remaining work will be constructed at a later stage when sufficient fund is available.

Progress of Work as on 14th September 2009

The progress of work to date was about 12%, which comprised the completion of the foundation for the Shrine Hall and the TNB substation.

The construction of ground beams for the Shrine Hall and the TNB substation were in progress. The Contractor had also cast a 2m wide by 3m long concrete foundation last Saturday for the installation of the Buddha Image.
