The Work Progress as at 28th February 2010
The progress of work for the month ws generally poor, which was partly due to long Chinese New Year holidays and the obstruction caused by the presence of the 200 mm dia. temporary water supply pipeline belonging to the neighbouring housing developer. Mobilisation of heavy equipment for the roadwork and general site earthwork was delayed.
The external and internal plastering of walls of the Shrine hall had completed. However, the construction of roof was still in progress. Assembling of timber purlins to the roof trusses was slow. The Contractor had anticipated the delivery of the roof tiles to Site to be in early March.
The Contractor continued the construction of site fencing and drainage where the locations were freed from obstruction.
The overall progress was about 60%.

The Work Progress as at 31st January 2010
The weather for the month was generally fair, though there were some days of rain on Site. The progress was not much affected. The work was mainly concentrated in the erection of the roof truss of Shrine Hall which is still in progress.
The Contractor had commenced plastering both the external and the internal surface of the walls at the third week of the month. The external plastering was about 85% completed while the internal plastering was about 25%.
Construction of the refuse chamber was started early this month and is currently awaiting for installation of roof, door and windows.
There was some delay in finishing the earthwork and the fencing due to the presence of a 200mm dia. temporary water supply pipe belonging to the nearby development. The pipe was anticipated to be redirected after the Chinese New Year. However, the construction of the fence on the west edge of the plot was carried out on the 29th.
Overall progress for the Phase I work was about 55%.
The planing of the Phase II work comprising the Auditorium and the Multifunction hall had commenced. Several meetings with the architect on the detail design was made. It was anticipated that structural drawings for the foundation could be made available after the Chinese New Year for the foundation work to commence as soon as the fund is sufficient.
